About
About XC Psych
XC Psych is a psychology and neurobiology learning project built around one simple idea:
Complex ideas become easier when we start from first principles.
The goal is to make psychology and neuroscience more understandable by building concepts step by step — from atoms, ions, and neurons to behaviour, cognition, and consciousness.
Why XC Psych?
Psychology often becomes much easier to understand when we can see the biology and physical principles underneath it.
XC Psych explores those foundations with clear explanations, visual examples, structured learning modules, and connections between psychology, neuroscience, chemistry, and physics.
Xplore with curiosity. Learn with clarity.
About Xander
XC Psych was created by Xander Chu, a psychology student at UNSW with a previous background in data science, machine learning, and software engineering.
Xander is also a tennis coach and educator, with a strong interest in how people learn, think, perform, and understand complex ideas.
XC Psych combines those interests into an educational project focused on making psychology and neuroscience approachable without losing the science.
What You’ll Find Here
XC Psych currently focuses on structured neurobiology lessons, beginning with the foundations and gradually building toward neural signalling, cognition, behaviour, and consciousness.
Alongside the learning modules, you’ll also find articles, diagrams, videos, and longer explorations of psychology and neuroscience.
